OMPR is an early access hybrid application created to bridge the gap between conventional media and virtual reality (VR) media viewers. It allows you to seamlessly experience or adjust all your media content on either VR or regular 2D in the form of your choice through a single app. It is built with both worlds in mind. Take control of your media experience to the fullest. The goal is to create the ultimate “Swiss Army knife” of media players for PC and VR. You can quickly toggle between VR or PC mode at a press of a button. The momentum of OMPR is to unlock and experience all the possibilities that current multimedia have to offer.

What can OMPR do?
It is a PC media player as well as a VR media Player targeting all the media that both of these mediums provide. This would cover images, videos, audio as well as 3D models in its target offerings.

- Play your favorite regular/180/360/Mono/Stereo/EAC videos in PC or VR mode. Supporting fisheye 180,190,200 and 220 degrees. Alpha packing capable.
- View your favorite regular/180/360/Mono/Stereo/EAC/ images, gifs, comics or pdfs in PC or VR mode. Supporting fisheye 180,190,200 and 220 degrees.
- Listen to your favorite music collections with visualization systems in PC or VR mode. A good way of creating your own FMV or video clip remixes.
- View, inspect, modify, interact, and explore 3D models in PC or VR mode. Supports .glb, .gltf, .fbx, .stl, .obj.
- Explore, roam and fly across preset and custom Virtual Environments in PC and VR modes. Supports loading up Quest Home Environments as a custom environment.
- Cast your screen to external apps as a video feed. Good for live streaming or webcam streaming with cool scenes. Use your favorite video stream recorder to record your OMPR experience.
- Experience your own art gallery, world, creations, or showcase in a highly customizable virtual space and experience it in both VR or PC.
- View and interact with web content in PC or VR mode. Supports local .js execution and bypasses CORS limitation. Inject your own javascript and special custom codes to make your web content truly the way you would like it to be.

What more can it do?
OMPR is released as early access. This means that the OMPR book of features and functionalities is not finished yet. There is more room for improvement aside from those that are set in stone on the great OMPR roadmap and I am definitely all ears to anyone's ideas, suggestions and feedback.OMPR is an app that I'm creating to make PC/VR dreams happen. What do I need?
-You need a 64-bit Windows10 OS PC or above
-3-button mouse with a scroll wheel
-Single Monitor with HD resolution (preferably dual monitor setup for the best experience)DirectX 11 support8GB RAM or above is recommended
-(optionally) You need a SteamVR-compatible headset to access the VR features.

Note on VR devices!
Only to be used with SteamVR. OMPR is built on OpenXR, pretty much it should support all VR devices that can connect to SteamVR. Tested working on Valve Index, VIVE Pro, Quest 2\Quest PRO (Airlink or Questlink), Oculus Rift S, and Reverb G2 successfully.

How often does OMPR gets updated?
OMPR is updated quite often. I am trying to hit most of my roadmap as fast as I can.

Experience various media on PC or VR

Play/load/adjust videos, images, gifs, pdf, cbr, cbz,music, web content, windows screens, webcam and 3d models, all in one app

Play VR videos on your local PC or VR

Plays various mono or stereo equirectangular, 180, 360 or EAC format and projections. And yes, you can view it without a VR device if you don't have one handy.

Stream the screen to external app

Stream as a webcam sources or video capture feed. This enable you to project what ever being displayed on your OMPR screen to apps such as Zoom, MS Teams, Webex meeting,OBS, Skype and many more. Impress your friends with your own custom content.

Build your own virtual art gallery or a full scale virtual museum

OMPR enables you to load up videos, gifs, images and 3d models into its various preset virtual environments as well as your own custom levels. Take control on what and where you would like to have your media placed. Once you have your gallery setup you can choose to explore it in either regular PC or VR.

View and modify 3D models with a highly customizable background

No more boring colorless background while viewing your 3d content. Supports gltf, glb,fbx,obj and more 3d file format. View the model like a model viewer (zoom, pan , tilt, toggle animation). Also advance model tool to enable sculpting, subdivide, smoothing and flip. Soon model painting and model interaction feature will be added.

Mix and tweaks around various combinations of media to experience it to another level

Ability to play music and load up any other supported media, for example as a background, and make your very own music video. Build your own living wallpaper from content off the web, for example shadertoys.com , your favorite online webcam page, your best interactive website, three.js showcases or literally anything that comes to mind.

Preset or Custom Virtual Environment

Visit various pre-built Virtual Environments to further enhance your multimedia experience. Each virtual world also has unique options and special features. For example, at the cinema, you can load various video clips onto a playlist and let it run on the virtual silver screen, or add sharks, whales, and some reef fishes to spice up your multimedia consumption. Also not forgetting the ability for you to load up your own level whether you've built it from Blender, acquire it from Sketchfab or even loading up Quest Home environments.

Load web media content

From local files or from the web directly to your screen with full mouse, keyboard or VR controller support. With ability to load local web content, unrestricted by CORS. This should allows you to build web app and run it locally on OMPR with full access. Imagine running three.js tool, apps, demo or even a full fledge WebGL app.

Capture anything and everything

OMPR allows you to record your screen either by cropping or fullscreen. Record global audio from OMPR app, global as in any audio that is playing on your computer (mic, aux, games.etc). Take screenshots or crop shots of your OMPR screen. Soon flat/180/360 equirectangular mono/stereo capture too. OMPR also enable screen output streaming, which means that if you find that it is hard to record at 4K via OMPR, you can always stream it to external app (away from taxing OMPR processing power) and capture it from there, for example OBS.

Write text on your screen and paste some images on the screen

Drop your own ttf or otf font into the font folder for OMPR and you are set to write on the screen to your heart's content. Color the text, make it transparent by certain percentage, rotate it around, make it bold or italic. You decide. If just the regular text wont fit your need, try pasting your own images as decals. Supports transparencies and soon special effects.

Make your big and wide screen TV worth it

OMPR is also targeted to enrich your assortment of monitors. Have you ever wish that you can display your favorite 3D dioramas , some high resolution video clips running on loop, experience a unique virtual aquarium scape where you can customize it to your liking and many more possibilities. Also to add... you can run multiple copies of OMPR app and have it run on each of your monitors.
